About the Program
Our mission is to prepare residents for a career in community pharmacy through a 52-week educational residency program.
The residency program provides residents with real-world applications of the knowledge and skills learned in pharmacy school as they apply to healthcare in a rural setting. In addition, the program includes elements of both short-term and long-term longitudinal ambulatory care as practiced in a rural Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).
Residents will integrate into a team-based approach to healthcare, working alongside providers, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals. Residents will also gain exposure to the organizational management of a 340B open-door community pharmacy.
