Health Education & Outreach

We are committed to promoting healthy lifestyles and our Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Department, known widely as Platicamos Salud, offers a wide array of outreach, education and referral services for county residents of all ages.

Platicamos Salud services are provided by skilled Promotores de Salud (Community Health Workers). Promotores are highly-trained members of the community who provide services to fellow residents and families in a manner that is language and culture-appropriate. These adult Promotores and Teen Health Facilitators are supported by a professional public health team.
